Biography

I moved to Pittsburgh two years ago. I went to Allegheny College for my BS in science (Biology). I attended the University of Pittsburgh for my Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching. I currently work as a 9th grade science teacher at the Science & Technology Academy with Pittsburgh Public Schools. I teach the biology portion of an integrated science class, which teaches the students physics, biology and chemistry all in one school year. Singing and music has always been one of the passions that drive me through life. While at Allegheny College, I was in every musical organization I could be, learning voice under Vicki Jamison and singing under the choral direction of Ward Jamison. When I came here to Pittsburgh I found musical homes with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and now the Pittsburgh Camerata. I have come to truly love Pittsburgh and all of the wonderful things that it has to offer...everything from the hometown Black and Gold to the Pittsburgh Camerata choir!
